OATMaster has undergone extensive independent laboratory testing using a variety of commercially available

O.A.T coolants and has demonstrated excellent resistance to gas permeation. oatMaster has also undergone successful Dynamic Pressure Testing to DIN 73411-2 certificated at 1million cycles and electromechanical resistance testing.

OATMaster hose has been specifically developed for use with the new generation of O.A.T Coolants, where increased under bonnet temperatures of Tier 6 engines preclude the use of EPDM.

OATs are Long Life/Extended Life Coolants, based on minimally depleting Carboxylate Technology. This technology provides superior protection to all components of the cooling system including materials like aluminium and magnesium found in the modern-day engine. Unlike traditional coolants the need for regular additions of Supplemental Coolant Additives (SCA’s) at scheduled service intervals is no longer required, providing a true Long-Life product which can provide significant “cost savings”. In some heavy-duty diesel applications, you may see a reference to a Coolant Extender. A Coolant Extender can be used with an OAT coolant to top-up certain additives at the products half-life which is typically around 480,000 kms. In general OAT based corrosion inhibitors are recognised for their non-toxic properties making them readily biodegradable, addressing any environmental and occupational health & safety issues.

OAT is an acronym for Organic Acid (Additive) Technology which describes the type of materials responsible for the corrosion protection offered by a coolant of this type.

TUBE

The hose has a specially developed black internal barrier layer that virtually eliminates permeation through the hose and is available in straight lengths as well as standard and bespoke shapes.

REINFORCEMENT

The hose is constructed with multiple braids of bias cut woven Meta Aramid fabric.

OUTER COVER

The outer cover is made from high grade silicone rubber to SAEJ20. The standard colour is violet, although other colours are available upon request.

TEMPERATURE RANGE

Typical temperature range is -25 Degrees Celsius to +225 Degrees Celsius 

CUSTOMISATION

This hose is available in various customisations, dependant upon application and fluid handling requirements.

ECONOMICAL OPTION

This hose has been tested and approved for “HL1” for R22 and “HL1” + “HL2” for R23; as per EN45545-2.
Since this hose is reinforced with Polyester, the working temperature limit is +180 deg C (+356 deg F). 

PREMIUM OPTION

This hose has been tested and approved for “HL1” + “HL2” for R22 and “HL1” + “HL2” for R23; as per EN45545-2. Since this hose is reinforced with Meta-aramid, the working temperature limit is +200 deg C (+392 deg F) continuous; and 220 deg C (+428 deg F) peak.
